Volleyball swept in final day of Pitt. State Classic

PITTSBURG, Kan. -- The Northwestern Oklahoma State volleyball team competed at the second day of the Pittsburg State Volleyball Classic against Rockhurst and Emporia State. Emporia State (4-0) swept NWOSU 25-8, 25-14, 25-9 and Rockhurst (4-0) took down the Lady Rangers in three sets 25-14, 25-15, 25-23.

In the evening match against ESU, Korina Lillard recorded four kills and six digs while Lacy Hansen had a team-high eight assists. In the morning tilt against RU, Paola Turibio and Alicia Karst each recorded eight kills while Kaydee Yukawa produced a team-high 21 assists.

The Lady Rangers (0-4) are in action again this weekend at the Southwest Baptist Purple Bash in Bolivar, Mo.
